Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho underwent scans on Monday after limping out of City’s 2-0 win at Aston Villa on Saturday. The Brazilian has damaged his hamstring and has thusbeen withdrawn from the Selecao squad for the upcoming friendlies against Argentina and Japan. City coach Manuel Pellegrini has been told that the former Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder has a 50-50chance of returning to face Tottenham on Oct 18.
