McMahon named new national executive director

[AYSO] The American Youth Soccer Organization has named Ian McMahon, the CEO of Hong Kong Sevens/Hong Kong Rugby Football,as its new national executive director. Scott Gimple has also been promoted to deputy executive director to run the day-to-day business operations of AYSO.
 
Prior to working in rugby — the Hong Kong Sevens is the largest tournament of its kind — McMahon spent more than 20 years as an executive with various soccer organizations inEurope and the United States. He had played professionally with Oldham Athletic and Rochdale in England.
