ESPN on Friday reported that Hamburg is seeking to complete the permanent signing of Tottenham Hotspur loanee Lewis Holtby. Holtby, 24, joined Hamburg on loan at the end of the summertransfer window, with a purchase clause inserted that would allow the club to buy him outright once he made a specified number of appearances. Apparently, that clause has kicked in after just threegames. According to Kicker, Hamburg must pay Spurs around 6.5 million euros ($8.2 million) for the Germany international.
