Three players suspended for season finales

[MLS DISCIPLINE] The MLS Disciplinary Committee announced Thursday three suspensions stemming from incidents occurring in matches last week.

Only one suspension affects a team headed to the playoffs. Third-place Sporting Kansas City will face fifth-place New York without defender Igor Juliao. He’s suspended for the Red Bulls’ game for endangering the safety of an opponent in SKC’s game against Philadelphia. A one-game suspension carries an automatic fine of an undisclosed amount.

Also suspended for the same offense are Houston midfielder Luis Garrido and Toronto FC attacker Dwayne De Rosario. The Dynamo plays Friday at Chicago in a meeting of non-playoff teams; TFC, which also missed the postseason, winds it up against New England.

Players incurring suspensions in the final game of the regular season will serve them during the playoffs if their teams qualify; if not, the suspensions carry over to the 2015 season.
