Former U.S. women’s national team striker Mia Hamm has been elected to join the board of directors at Italian giant AS Roma. According to Goal.com, the departure of former presidentThomas DiBenedetto and new Bologna chief Joe Tacopina left the door open for two additions to the club’s board, and the Giallorossi have responded by adding the USA legend andtwo-time World Cup winner. The other opening will reportedly go to Boston Bruins hockey legend Cam Neely, who was also invited to join the board by Roma’s American President JamesPallotta.
