LVG Feeling "Lousy" About United's Record

Manchester United coach Louis van Gaal on Friday admitted that United’s worst start to a Premier League season since 1986-87 is simply “not good enough.”

The Dutchman, whose team have just 13 points from 10 games, said prior to United’s Premier League clash at home to Crystal Palace:  “It’s not good enough. I feel myself very lousy for the fans and my staff, but also for the board, because they have a great belief in me, my staff and the players. I’m feeling lousy for everyone that we have 13 points from 10 games. But we are in a process.

Meanwhile, the criticism is starting to pile on for van Gaal. As United legend Paul Scholes writes in his column for the Independent: “Louis van Gaal talks about progress. I expected United to have a better record by this stage of the season. Under David Moyes last season United had 17 points from their first 10 games. This time, having spent 150 million pounds [$237.6 million] in the summer, they have 13 points from 10 games."
