Crowd Trouble Delays Italy-Croatia Game

Italy's 1-1 Euro 2016 qualifying draw in Milan with Croatia was twice interrupted by fans throwing firecrackers and flares on to the field, forcing the referee to take the players off the field for 10 minutes in the second half while riot police had to intervene in crowd misbehavior in the stands.

Antonio Candreva had given Italy an 11th minute lead but the visitor escaped with a tie thanks to a blunder by goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who let Ivan Perisic's 15th minute shot slip under his body.
