Florida State moved into the round of 16 for the 10th year in a row with a 3-0 win over Northeastern. Redshirt sophomore Kirsten Crowley had a career night with a goal and an assist, while Cheyna Williams had the eventual game-winner in the 18th minute, and Dagny Brynjarsdottir capped the scoring with her team-leading 16th goal of the season in the second half.

“It was a very good game tonight,” Florida State head coach Mark Krikorian. “Northeastern came in and battled us very hard and I thought our kids were resilient, played well, created some decent chances, and of course finished three."

-- The third time was the charm for UCF in the NCAA Tournament against Big 10 champion Wisconsin as the Knights prevailed, 3-2. Wisconsin entered the match on a seven-game shutout streak, but UCF stunned the Badgers with goals from Ashley Spivey and Tatiana Coleman in the first 22 minutes. Wisconsin made things interesting on Kodee Williams' goal in the 76th minute, but Coleman added her second goal of the day six minutes later. Micaela Powers gave the Badgers hope with a late goal.

-- Fourth-ranked Virginia also advanced to the round of 16 for the 10th consecutive season with a 3-0 victory over Rutgers. The Cavaliers broke open a scoreless game with three goals in a seven-minute span early in the second half from sophomore Tina Iordanou and juniors Makenzy Doniak and Brittany Ratcliffe.

-- Texas A&M took a 5-0 halftime lead and rolled to a 7-2 win over Arizona to advance to the Sweet 16 for the third consecutive season. The teams had played to a 2-2 tie in September, but the Aggies took control quickly with three goals -- two from Kelley Monogue -- within a five-minute span. Allie Bailey also scored twice in the first half for A&M.

-- English freshman Karin Muya assisted on the match-tying goal by Anna Maria Gilbertson in the first half before putting away the game-winner in the 86th minute to lift Notre Dame to a 2-1 win over Texas. The Longhorns had taken the lead in the 20th minute on Lindsey Meyer’s fifth goal of the year.

-- Leading scorer Frannie Crouse scored her 10th of the year, just seven minutes into the match, and a strong defensive effort gave Penn State a 1-0 win over Connecticut. Britt Eckerstrom picked up her eighth shutout of the year.
