Do the best players even get seen at a high level when picking a National team is political. One from this State one from that State. Very sad! Lets have a playoff system to determine who represents the USA. PG can have his racist ALL Latino team and every other area can have their Heinz 57 that play like the Britts or Barcelona or Bayern Munich or Klinsmann's hybrid or whatever style. As teams fall out of the playoff system other winning teams could pickup the best players from the losing clubs.

Neil, save all that. The bigger problem with this is that ID2 is supposed to serve as an identification of top players not yet identified by USA scouts. It does not. It picks players already scouted by USA National Teams staff and mostly already previously invited to National Team Camps. So the name it carries is pretty much meaningless. Its more of just another sponsored trip for most of the already chosen National team. in other words it is not needed for it's promoted objective. But hey, at least the guy running it can take 1-2 players from his own club every year. PDA.
