The Vancouver Whitecaps became the seventh MLS club to launch a second team in USL PRO. WFC2 will will play all home matches at Thunderbird Stadium

In partnership with UBC and the Government of British Columbia, the Whitecaps also revealed preliminary renderings for a new training facility on the UBC campus for the Whitecaps FC MLS, USL
PRO and youth squads.
"Today marks another important milestone for our club," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi
. "We're thrilled to be
launching Whitecaps FC 2 for the 2015 USL PRO season. This will provide a bridge for our young players to play consistently in a competitive professional environment, as well as create a long-term
platform to develop Canadian talent."
USL PRO is up to an even dozen new teams for 2015. All three Cascadia rivals -- Portland, Seattle and Vancouver -- and all three Canadian team --
Montreal, Toronto FC and Vancouver -- will be represented in USL PRO. The LA Galaxy (in its second season) and Real Salt Lake are also represented.
Other new clubs for 2015 have been
announced in Austin, Charlotte, Colorado Springs, Louisville, St. Louis and Tulsa.
