Stanford goalkeeper Jane Campbell scored in the fifth round of the shootout to give Stanford a 4-3 victory on penalty kicks over Florida after their game endedin a 2-2 draw. The win sends the Cardinal to the Women’s College Cup for the sixth time in seven years.
Stanford took leads on goals by TaylorUhl and Kendall Romine, but Florida answered each time, first on an own goal and then on Havana Solaun’sgoal in the 79th minute.

“It’s never going to be easy winning in the quarterfinals,” said Stanford coach Paul Ratcliffe.”It’s always going to be difficult and I feel for Florida because I know how difficult it is when you’re so close. I thought they had an amazing game. We’re happy to be back. Lastyear, we didn’t get there. I think it’s a great treat for the kids and the thing we all look forward to is going to the final four. It’s going to be a really fun weekend and theopportunity to claim the national championship is a great karat for all of us.”
