Report: Falcao Wants to Stay, United Unsure

In an interview with the Guardian, Radamel Falcao says he wants to stay at Manchester United, but a permanent move depends on how much he plays and if the club’s board wants to keep him. Falcao, 28, is on a season-long loan from AS Monaco, which United paid a hefty $20 million for, but injuries and uneven form have restricted him to few appearances.

Though Coach Louis van Gaal declared him fit to start Sunday’s 3-0 win against Liverpool, the Colombia international played just 12 minutes. The Red Devils have an option to buy him at the end of the season, but the club is said to be unsure about gambling on a player who has suffered three severe knee injuries in his career -- the most recent of which occurred in January and ruled him out of the World Cup.
