U.S. U-18s split two-game series with Germany

The U.S. under-18 men’s national team dropped a 3-2 decision to Germany’s U-18s to finish with a split of their two-game series in Marbella, Spain.

On Friday, the USA's Sebastian Elney, who has committed to Maryland, and Mauricio Pineda, younger brother of former U.S. U-20 forward Victor Pineda, scored for the USA. For Pineda, it was his second goal in two games. He has scored in the USA's 2-1 win on Wednesday.

Germany built a 2-0 lead heading into halftime with goals from Erik Wekesser and Tim Galleski in the 19th and 35th minutes, respectively, and Galleski added a third in the 69th minute after Elney had scored for the USA. Pineda's goal came in the 90th minute.
