Former Ref Chief Blasts 'Appalling' EPL Officials

Keith Hackett, the former head of the English referees' association (PGMOL) claims that officiating standards in the Premier League over Christmas were "bordering on appalling," while naming five current officials he feels should be demoted at the end of the season. Additionally, the 70-year-old says that successor Mike Riley, who replaced Hackett in 2010, should step down. The five refs who he would like to see demoted are Andre Marriner, Mike Jones, Lee Mason, Chris Foy and Lee Probert.
