Stone will host Fox Sports' Women's World Cup coverage

Rob Stone will serve as Fox Sports' prime-time studio host for its coverage of the 2015 Women’s World Cup June 6-July 5 in Canada.

“Rob is an exceptional studio host with a deep understanding of international soccer, so he is the perfect choice to anchor our Women’s World Cup coverage in prime time,” David Neal, executive producer for FOX Sports’ Women’s World Cup coverage, said. “An event like this is similar to an Olympics, with many moving parts, and excellent hosts are smart, personable and have a little traffic cop inside them. Rob brings those attributes to the job every day.”

Stone, who joined Fox Sports from ESPN in January 2012, will anchor Fox Sports’ studio shows, including pregame, halftime and postgame coverage and other related programming throughout the month-long tournament from the network’s two-story studio on Coal Harbor in Vancouver.

Stone, a former Division I player at Colgate, has hosted Fox Sports’ soccer coverage, in addition to hosting college football and college basketball studio programming.

FOX Sports will televise all 52 games from six cities across Canada live on Fox, Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 2.
