TV Report: UniMas tops ESPN2 and FS1 in MLS Week 2

UniMas drew more viewers for Friday's Houston-Orlando City match than ESPN2 or Fox Sports 1 did for Sunday matches. ESPN2 viewership for New York City-New England was down 46 percent from its coverage of NYCFC's opening weekend match at Orlando City. FS1 was down 29 percent from the opening weekend doubleheader.

289,000 New York City-New England (ESPN2)
197,000 Portland-LA Galaxy (Fox Sports 1)

Week 1 Viewers:
539,000 Orlando City-New York City (ESPN2)
341,000 LA Galaxy-Chicago (UniMas)
289,000 Seattle-New England (Fox Sports 1)
268,000 Sporting KC-NY Red Bulls (Fox Sports 1)

    What a weird way of reporting things here. Unimas is not in any competition with ESPN2 or FS1 for viewers; Hence, each channel has it's own time slot to present MLS games. It's "Soccer" America, so it's to be expected.
