After going with two forwards up top until a head injury to
C.J. Sapong forced his departure in the Philadelphia Union's opener, Coach
Jim Curtin went back back to five players in midfield with
Cristian Maidana running the show at Real Salt Lake.
But now Maidana will
be sidelined for at least two weeks as a knee injury suffered in practice on Tuesday the Argentina playmaker for the Union's match Friday against Western Conference leader FC Dallas at PPL Park.
Maidana's likely replacement will be
Zach Pfeffer, but he too could be gone after this weekend as he is a likely callup for the U.S. U-20s' trip to
England.
