Road to Vancouver: Germany sends notice

Seven Women's World Cup finalists were in action on Wednesday, and in the day's big friendly Germany crushed Brazil, 4-0, on goals by Celia Sasic, Simone Laudehr, Melanie Leupolz and Dzsenifer Marozsan before 15,042 fans in Fuerth. U.S. first-round opponent Sweden could only manage a 3-3 tie at home with Denmark three days after a 3-1 loss at home to Switzerland.

Canada -- with 10 NWSL players -- is in France for the Women's World Cup final major test before this summer's tournament: a friendly against the Bleues on Thursday in Bondoufle.
