NWSL Weekend: Press out-duels Solo in Red Stars' win

-- The Washington Spirit handed defending champion FC Kansas City its second straight defeat with a 3-1 decision. Christine Nairn's two goals and Crystal's Dunn's goal in the first minute of the second half lifted the Spirit to its first win of the season.
Heather O'Reilly had put FCKC ahead when she lofted a shot past the fingertips of goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris, her teammate on the national team.

-- The Houston Dash earned a come-from-behind point on the road with a 1-1 draw at Sky Blue FC on Jessica McDonald's goal in the second half. Sky Blue had grabbed the lead in the 15th minute on a goal by Katy Freels.
