TV Report: Chivas is the king of U.S. airwaves

The return of Chivas de Guadalajara as a Mexican league power has been a boon to Univision Deportes. Chivas home matches, airing exclusively on Univision Deportes, averaged 1.3 million total viewers, making it most-viewed club soccer team on any U.S. network, regardless of language. Chivas has advanced to the semifinals of the Torneo Clausura's Liguilla and will face Santos in the semifinals.

El Súper Clásico between Guadalajara and Club América delivered an average audience of 3.0 million viewers, making it the most-viewed regular-season club soccer match in the U.S. in more than five years.

Univision Network's coverage of Liga MX outperformed the current season of the English Premier League on both NBC and NBC Sports Network by double and triple-digits through the end of the Liga MX regular season, and UniMas averaged 812,000 viewers in the Clausura 2015 season.
