TV Report: Top 15 U.S. EPL markets

NBCUniversal, which concludes its second year of English Premier League coverage with “Championship Sunday” at 9 a.m. ET, released the U.S. cities with the highest ratings for EPL matches. The top five were all MLS cities. But in the top 15 were also a few surprises. Among them: Knoxville, Tennessee, a football city in more ways than one.

Heading into “Championship Sunday,” NBC Sports Group’s Premier League viewership averages 426,000 viewers, up 10 percent compared to this point last season, and up 16 percent among adults 18-49.
