Tigres Swoops for Uche, Gignac

Liga MX club Tigres on Friday signed Ikechukwu Uche from Villarreal and is expected to complete the signing of Andre-Pierre Gignac from Marseille after the player completed a medical. The two forwards were brought in to bolster the club’s attack ahead of its meeting with Brazil's Internacional in the semifinals of the Copa Libertadores next month. No Mexican team has ever won South America’s most prestigious club competition.
