What They're Saying: Catalina Perez

“I have a lot of respect for the United States and I appreciate all the opportunities this country has given me and my family, but I’m a full-blooded Colombian. I feel Colombian in my blood. I love the culture. It’s where my family and heart is, and it’s my first home.”

Perez and Stefany Castano, who attended NAIA school Graceland University, are Colombia's two options in goal with star Sandra Sepulveda suspended for Monday's game against the USA. (Miami Herald)

I liked her. She looked very professional on the field. She is very talented, respectful towards US players, and very good looking. That being said the referee was spot on on the ejection. It was a pity because I was having a blast watching her perform. I wish her a lot of success in her in college and hopefully can make the jump to professional soccer.
