MLS: This week ...

D.C. United opened up a 10-point lead in the Eastern Conference thanks to a 1-0 win at last-place Chicago and New England's 2-1 loss at Crew SC. United also has a five-point lead in the Supporters' Shield race following Seattle's 1-0 loss at Philadelphia. Conor Doyle had the winning goal for United in the first match of a five-game road trip, including four games in MLS play.
