Gabriel Farfan came off the bench and scored the winning goal five minutes later to lead Chiapas to a 2-1 win over Santos in Mexico's Liga MX. Ventura Alvarado's first game back with Club America since the Gold Cup was a nightmare as he gave up an own goal in a 3-1 home loss to Atlas that left America
last in the Apertura standings, off to its worst start in 18 years.

Jose Torres started and fellow Texan Uvaldo Luna, who now plays for Mexico's U-23s, came off the bench as Tigres dropped a 1-0 decision at Morelia. It rested its starters ahead of Tuesday's second leg in
the Libertadores Cup final against River Plate in Buenos Aires.
Miguel Ibarra played his second game off the bench for first-place Leon in a 4-1
win over Veracruz, for which Joe Corona debuted in a starting role. Michael Orozco started his second game and U-20
Paul Arriola came off the bench for Tijuana in a 2-1 loss at home to Dorados, its former farm team. Jonathan Bornstein
has also started both games for Queretaro, which fell, 2-1, at home to Pachuca.
Eight months ago, Ventura Alvarado won the Torneo Apertura with
Club America. Now, America finds itself last in the Apertura standings, off to its worst start in 18 years after a 3-1 home loss to Atlas in which Alvarado gave up an own goal. Greg Garza started for Atlas but left the game at the break.

start Germany's second division season as his two goals helped Sandhausen beat Union Berlin, 4-3. Bobby Wood had an assist for Union Berlin.
