Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti on Friday was named Mexico interim coach for the next four games, including El Tri’s playoff with the USA for a berth at the 2017 ConfederationsCup. In interview with Televisa, Mexican soccer federation president Decio de Maria said that a verbal agreement had been reached with the 61-year-old Brazilian to take overfor friendly matches against Trinidad & Tobago and Argentina, the Confederations Cup playoff against the USA in Pasadena, California, on Oct. 10, and one yet-to-be determined friendly. The Tigrescoach replaces Miguel Herrera, who was fired last month following an alleged assault on a journalist at the Philadelphia airport.
