Redshirt junior Brittney Reed opened the season with six goals in Kennesaw State’s 12-0 rout against Alabama A&M to be named the NSCAA Women’s CollegePlayer of the Week. Reed’s five goals in the first half tied an NCAA Division I record.

Reed’s six goals was just one off of the NCAA Division I record of seven goals scored in a singlematch (Sarah Comeauz of Ole Miss in 1996 and Kristen Arnott of St. Francis, Pa. in 2000). She tied the NCAA Division Irecord for most goals in a half (Brittney Lyman of Colorado College in 2009).
