Richie Laryea was named the NSCAA Men's Division I Player of the Week after helping the Zips win a pair of 3-2 decisions over Top 25 teams
Maryland and Saint Louis. Chloe Buehler, UNC Greensboro's sophomore goalkeeper, was the NSCAA Women's Division I recipient.
In the Zips' 3-2 road win over Maryland, Laryea
registered two goals, including the game-winner, while adding an assist. In the come-from-behind win past Saint Louis, the Canadian had a pair of assists, including one on
Sam Gainford's game-winning goal in the 71st minute.
Buehler, a Penn State transfer who is in her second season in the Spartans' goal, had 18 saves in a 2-0 win over N.C.
State and 1-1 tie with Elon, which entered the game with a 5-1-0 record.
Leah Mullins, the NCAA Division II women's winner, had hat tricks in both
her games for Lenoir-Rhyne.
