Sunday saw MLS draw its lowest viewerships of the year on Fox Sports 1 and ESPN2 with only 91,000 total viewers for Orlando City-Sporting KC on FS1 and 63,000 for Toronto FC-New England on ESPN2. None
of the first 46 games on FS1 and ESPN2 averaged less than 100,000 viewers.
There was better news for the Orlando City-Sporting KC game on Fox Deportes. It drew 59,000 viewers, more than
30 percent higher than the average for Fox Deportes' telecasts through Aug. 31. Viewing figures on ESPN Deportes were unavailable.
The two NWSL semifinals on Fox Sports 1 averaged only
48,000 and 28,000 viewers, lower than all three regular-season matches on FS1 and combined lower than two of those three matches.
The sixth game of the one-year agreement between the NWSL
and Fox Sports will air on FS1 on Oct. 1 when Seattle and FC Kansas City meet in the championship game. Four other regular-season games were streamed on Fox Sports Go.
the first full day of the NFL season and featured the men's final at the U.S. Open. Sunday's two EPL games on NBCSN averaged 401,000 and 345,000 viewers but the two Bundesliga games on FS1 averaged
