TV Report: Viewers for U.S. leagues plunge on Sunday

Sunday saw MLS draw its lowest viewerships of the year on Fox Sports 1 and ESPN2 with only 91,000 total viewers for Orlando City-Sporting KC on FS1 and 63,000 for Toronto FC-New England on ESPN2. None of the first 46 games on FS1 and ESPN2 averaged less than 100,000 viewers.

There was better news for the Orlando City-Sporting KC game on Fox Deportes. It drew 59,000 viewers, more than 30 percent higher than the average for Fox Deportes' telecasts through Aug. 31. Viewing figures on ESPN Deportes were unavailable.

The two NWSL semifinals on Fox Sports 1 averaged only 48,000 and 28,000 viewers, lower than all three regular-season matches on FS1 and combined lower than two of those three matches.

The sixth game of the one-year agreement between the NWSL and Fox Sports will air on FS1 on Oct. 1 when Seattle and FC Kansas City meet in the championship game. Four other regular-season games were streamed on Fox Sports Go.

Sunday marked the first full day of the NFL season and featured the men's final at the U.S. Open. Sunday's two EPL games on NBCSN averaged 401,000 and 345,000 viewers but the two Bundesliga games on FS1 averaged only 37,000 and 35,000.

Fox has horrible marketing, pre/post game coverage, packaging, web or mobile apps, that is why their numbers are so bad. If you look at NBCSN & BEIN Sports you get over 1m on sundays.
I alwasys see we never talk about BEIN Sports or ESPN Deportes or Spanish lang. audience numbers. We should have complete numbers.

where is the BEIN sport numbers they are getting larger audiences then NBCSN even.

Opening weekend of NFL, 'nuff said. Still the elephant in the room in the American sports' eye; hopefully not for more than another two generations, though!

If we include all broadcasts you will get over 2-4 million + unique viewers every weekend if you count spanish & english. This is a good core base of fans everyweek.
