Notre Dame comes down from emotional high

On Thursday, Notre Dame knocked off No. 1 Virginia, 2-1, in overtime. On Sunday, the Irish came up against No. 3 Florida State, the defending national champion, but could not replicate their performance. A 1-0 loss to the Seminoles on Elin Jensen's goal in the 35th minute left Notre Dame head coach Theresa Romagnolo frustrated. “We need to be more professional in how we approach games,” she said. “We can’t choose when we’re going to play hard. We have to play hard and have composure in every opportunity we have.”
