Recalling the great 1990 N.C. State team

N.C. State's 1990 ACC championship team, honored at halftime of Sunday's Wolfpack match against Louisville, is one of the greatest teams ever assembled with future U.S. internationals Roy Lassiter, Dario Brose and Henry Gutierrez, plus Tom Tanner, Scott Schweitzer and Curt Johnson. Roberts Gibbs, the backup goalkeeper, was press secretary for President Obama from 2009-2011. The coach was legendary George Tarantini, famous for his sideline antics and eccentric moves like getting thrown out of games on purpose or playing a man down when he was upset with his team.
