Three U.S. Women’s World Cup champions — Carli Lloyd, Megan Rapinoe and Hope Solo— are on the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Player of the Year short list. It also includes West Virginia University’s Kadeisha Buchanan, who played for Canadaand was named the top young player at the Women’s World Cup.
U.S. women’s coach Jill Ellis was also included on the 10-person list of finalists forCoach of the Year in women’s soccer.
Solo and Rapinoe (both Seattle Reign) and Lloyd (Houston Dash) were among four NWSL players nominated. Also on the list is German keeper
