Record Book: Messiah's Larson sets college shutout mark

Messiah's 6-0 win at Widener on Wednesday night extended the Falcons' shutout string to 11 games as the top-ranked NCAA Division III women's team improved to 13-0-2. No. 1 keeper Audra Larson has seven shutouts in 2015 to give her 63 in her career, a record at any NCAA level (Division I, II or II, women or men).

Larson and Sara Yunez split time in frame, though neither was tested as the Falcons outshot Widener, 34-0. It was the first time in 2015 they did not allow a single shot.

Larson's shutout total for 2015 would be higher but she has split time with Yanez in five of the 11 games during the current shutout streak.

Larson's goal-against average for the season is 0.15. She had 0.23, 0.28 and 0.29 goals-against averages in her first three seasons. She has started all 90 Messiah games during her four-year career.
