Crowd Count: UCSB-Cal Poly draws 14,919 fans

UC Santa Barbara drew the second largest crowd for an on-campus regular-season match in NCAA history as 14,919 fans turned out for the Gauchos' Big West match with Cal Poly at Harder Stadium.

Cal Poly freshman Jared Pressley scored with just four seconds left in regulation to force the Gauchos and Mustangs into an eventual 2-2 draw.

UCSB-Cal Poly matchups now comprise 13 of the 19 best-attended Division I men's soccer games since 1980. It was also the largest NCAA crowd since 2010, when UCSB welcomed an NCAA record 15,896 fans into Harder for a contest against UCLA

UCSB took the lead on goals by first by Ahinga Selemani in the 11th minute and Nick DePuy in the 43rd. The 2-0 lead held until the 72nd minute when as Chase Minter redirected a Jack O'Connor cross from the top of the box into the top right corner of the net.

In your reporting, could you please distinguish between the two Cal Poly schools? One is located in San Luis Obispo and the other in Pomona.

There is only ONE Cal Poly... the other is our little sister we don't like to speak about that lives in the attic when we have people come over.
