Pac-12 Men: Stanford repeats as conference champ

For the second consecutive season and just third time in program history, Stanford has claimed the Pac-12 crown. The Cardinal did so Friday night without playing a game.

Stanford clinched at least a share of the league title by virtue of a 2-0 victory at Oregon State a week ago and claimed the 2015 trophy outright following Washington’s 1-1 draw at San Diego State on Friday night. The Huskies, with 12 points and two games remaining, cannot match Stanford’s current total of 20 points.

The Cardinal (6-1-2 in conference play) is off this weekend. It concludes its regular season at Cagan Stadium on Thursday against Cal.

Stanford will be without star Jordan Morris for that match as he has been called up to the U.S. national team for World Cup 2016 qualifiers against St. Vincent & the Grenadines and Trinidad & Tobago.
