Timo Pitter gave Creighton the early advantage, but Brandon Allen scored on a header to even the score and match Georgetown's all-time record for career goals with 49.
Brett Campbell had a chance to win the game in the 87th minute but sent his shot off the crossbar. Early in overtime, Creighton's Fabian Herbers fired a shot that struck the right post, and seconds later JT Marcinkowski made a diving save to deny Pitter.
ACC. No. 7 seed Syracuse beat its third higher seed in a week, defeating No. 4 Notre Dame, 1-0, in the ACC men's final.
The championship was the first for Syracuse in a conference tournament since 1985. It broke through in the 47th minute when Ben Polk scored his 10th goal of the season.
BIG TEN. Maryland beat top-seed Ohio State, 2-0, on goals by Eryk Williamson and Tsubasa Endoh to win the Big Ten title for its fourth straight conference tournament championship.
