It would be great if the Fire could field a competitive team. It all starts with the owners willingness to part with dollars to field a winning team. I wonder if the Chicago Fire fans would tolerate a ticket price increase to field an outstanding team? I, for one, went to only a two matches because the quality of play was mediocre at best.
What happen to the polish population in Chicago. Why not get some players from Poland or another Polish manager.
When a manager gets let go. The new manager might want to hire his own staff so they fire the old msnagers trainers.
On arena he coaced the MLS all stars if I remember right against an English club team. They discussed the game the two managers decided they were going to take it easy defensively to avoid injuries in a game that meant nothing.
You know what Arena did? He high pressured the English team the whole first half and built a big lead on them,
That is when i first realized that I liked Arena. The losing coach if I remember right did not shake hands with arena at the end of the game.
