Corinthians Wins Brazilian Title

Corinthians sealed a sixth Brazilian league title on Thursday after a late equalizer from Wagner Love earned the club a 1-1 draw at Vasco da Gama. The point was enough to give the Brazilian giant an unassailable 12-point leave with three games still to play, as second-place Atletico Mineiro lost 4-2 at Sao Paulo. Much of Corinthians’ success this season has been put down to coach Adenor Leonardo Bachi, who spent the entire 2014-15 campaign on sabbatical observing former Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti. Bachi also led the Sao Paulo-based club to the 2012 Copa Libertadores and FIFA Club World Cup titles.
