English freshman Max Blackmore
scored his 34th goal of the season, redirecting a cross from classmate Jaric Spath,
overtime to give Louisburg a 1-0 win over Tyler in the NJCAA Division I men’s title game.
The championship victory for Louisburg was its first of any kind at the national level.
With the win, the Hurricanes improved to 24-1-0 on the year.
Blackmore's goal gave him at least one in every tournament match. He finished as the NJCAA leading scorer ahead of Pima's
, who scored 32 goals.
Louisburg had beaten Pima, 2-1, in Friday's semifinals.
