WCQ: USA headed back to Columbus in March

Unbeaten in eight World Cup qualifiers since it opened in 1999 -- more games than at any other venue -- the U.S. national team will return to MAPFRE Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, for the March 29 match against Guatemala in the semifinal round of Concacaf qualifying for Russia 2018.

The match will will be played four days after the USA and Guatemala meet at Estadio Mateo Flores in Guatemala City. A U.S. sweep of the two games would likely clinch a berth in the Hexagonal.

The USA opened with a 6-1 win over St. Vincent & the Grenadines and 0-0 tie against Trinidad & Tobago. Guatamala dig a hole for itself when it opened Group C play with a 2-1 loss to T&T at home.
