Johnson scores again in Champions League

Fabian Johnson scored in his second straight game for Borussia Moenchengladbach in the UEFA Champions League as it beat Sevilla, 4-2, in their Group D match. It was Gladbach's first win in the competition and ended Sevilla’s hopes of reaching the knockout stage.

Lars Stindl scored twice before second-half goals from Johnson and Raffael gave Gladbach the win for five points in the group and a shot at third place in the group.

"We produced a strong performance," said Johnson, who had also scored in the 1-1 tie with Juventus. "Everyone played to their limit."

Johnson is only the sixth American to score in the Champions League after Jovan Kirovski, DaMarcus Beasley, Maurice Edu, Jermaine Jones and Sacha Kljestan.
