Crowd Count: Wake Forest adds to attendance mark

No. 1 seed Wake Forest added to its school record attendance record as the crowd of 3,149 fans for Sunday's 1-0 win over Indiana -- the largest of the eight round-of-16 matches -- pushed its season total to 41,342 fans in 16 home games. The previous record was 29,296 in 2007.

Wake ranks fourth in the nation in total attendance behind only Creighton, UC Santa Barbara and Connecticut. A crowd of 5,000 is expected for Saturday's quarterfinal match against Stanford in which case Wake Forest would take over the attendance lead for the year.
