Vidovich returns to ACC at Pitt

Jay Vidovich, who led Wake Forest to a national championship in 2007, is returning to the ACC as the men's head coach at Pittsburgh after spending one season in the USL with T2, the Portland Timbers' second team.

Vidovich guided T2 to an 11-15-2 overall record during the club’s inaugural USL season in 2015. He previously built Wake into an ACC powerhouse in 21 seasons as head coach (1994-2014) after taking over the late Walter Chyzowych.

Wake Forest captured five ACC regular-season championships and made four consecutive NCAA College Cup appearances from 2006-2009.

Vidovich replaces Joe Luxbacher, Pitt's head coach for the last 32 years who retired as its all-time winningest coach with a 224-267-69 record.
