UCL: Miazga named to Chelsea's 18-player team for PSG game

Matt Miazga could suit up for Chelsea for the first time as the English champ faces French champion Paris St. Germain Tuesday in the first leg of the round of 16 in the Champions League.

UPDATE: Miazga is in the Chelsea 18 for Tuesday's game at Paris St. Germain.

Injuries to Kurt Zouma (out for the season with a knee injury) and John Terry (hamstring injury) have depleted the Blues at center back. Without their starting duo, Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink is expected to start Gary Cahill and Branislav Ivanovic against PSG.

In reserve could be Miazga and 18-year-old Jake Clarke-Salter. Chelsea only traveled with 20 players to Paris. It will suit up 18.

The only other Americans on UEFA Champions League rosters for the round of 16 are Israeli-American midfielder Kenny Saief (Gent) and Julian Green (Bayern Munich).

Saief played in five of Gent's six games, while Green's only first-team appearance of the season for Bayern came in the Champions league group stage after it was already through to the round of 16.
