Crowd Count: Orlando City crowd fifth highest in world

Orlando City led all MLS clubs with a crowd of 60,147 for its 2016 MLS opener against Real Salt Lake at the Citrus Bowl. It was the fifth highest crowd in the world over the weekend. MLS averaged 26,152 fans for 10 games on Sunday.

That put MLS sixth in the world in average attendance over the weekend, ahead of such leagues as the French Ligue 1, Italian Serie A and Dutch Eredivisie.

The 261,516 fans for Sunday's 10 games were the most in a single day in MLS history. For the 10 home teams, the average of 26,152 was down slightly (0.9 percent) from their 2015 home openers.
