USL Roundup: Los Dos on top after miracle comeback

The LA Galaxy II came back from 3-0 down with nine minutes to play to tie Real Monarchs SLC, 3-3, getting the final two goals in the 89th and 90th minutes, and remain unbeaten. Los Dos lead the Western Conference with seven points, one more than three teams.

Ethan Zubak, a 17-year-old forward promoted from the Galaxy academy team, started the comeback when he scored in the 81st minute, and Ryo Fujii and Jack MacBean followed with the other goals for Los Dos. Tyler Arnone, Maikon Orellana and Colin Rolfe scored to stake the Real Monarchs to a 3-0 lead in the first half.

San Antonio extends S2 home misery. San Antonio FC, the last of the six first-year teams to play their first game, beat the Seattle Sounders FC 2, 3-0, on a pair of goals by former Chicago Fire and Houston Dynamo forward Jason Johnson and a goal by Fejiro Okiomah.

Former Sounders keeper Josh Ford had the shutout as S2 dropped its third home game of the season, matching its total for all of 2015 at Starfire.

USL Results: Week 2

SAC sells out Bonney Field. Cameron Iwasa's second-half goal gave Sacramento Republic FC a 1-0 win over Arizona United to improve to 2-0-0. The home opener at Bonney Field drew 11,569 fans on Saturday night.

Sac Republic is one of three teams in the Western Conference with two wins in two games along with the Swope Park Rangers and Vancouver Whitecaps 2, a pair of MLS second teams.

Red Bulls II Spoils Lou City opener. New York Red Bulls II claimed its first victory of the season with a 2-0 win Louisville City FC before 7,522 fans at Louisville Slugger Field. It is one of four teams in the Eastern Conference on top with four points after two weeks.

Junior Flemmings opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and assisted Brandon Allen's third goal of the season in the 78th minute to close out scoring. The match was played under a high-wind advisory.
