The NWSL's Seattle Reign FC has signed Microsoft as its jersey sponsor and presenting partner for the 2016 season, replacing Moda Health. Microsoft is the highest-profile jersey sponsor an NWSL club
has landed. It has an agreement with MLS's Sounders to have its Xbox logo on their jerseys, a deal in place since the club's MLS launch in 2009.
“We are excited by the opportunity
to partner with Microsoft and look forward to the chance to work together during the upcoming season,” Seattle Reign FC owner
Bill Predmore said in a statement. “Our collaboration
with Microsoft exemplifies what we believe our partnerships can and should be: an opportunity to leverage our unique assets and experiences to add meaningful value to our partner’s
business.”
Microsoft works with Reign FC, the 2014 and 2015 NWSL regular-season champion, in sports science and analytics.
