The Montreal Impact, in its fifth MLS season, has passed the 9,500 mark in season-ticket sales for the first time ever. That includes 3,500 new season tickets and the club's best renewal rate in its
history: 91 percent.
"There are very positive signs for our 2016 season," said
Richard Legendre, the Impact's executive vice president for strategic development and communications.
"This is yet another proof that interest for the Impact is growing. This being said, we keep making every effort to bring in more members and draw a bigger attendance to every game."
For
the first time ever, Montreal sold out Stade Saputo for its home opener. The Impact, which played its first two home games at Olympic Stadium, has the fifth-highest average attendance in MLS with
23,466 fans a game.
