Two-time defending champion Sevilla will face Liverpool in the Europa League May 18 in Basel, Switzerland.
Sevilla, which is seeking to add to its record four wins in the Europa Leagueand UEFA Cup, beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-1 at home to advance 5-3 on aggregate. Liverpool, UEFA Cup champion in 1973, 1976 and 2001, defeated Villarreal, 3-0, to erase a 1-0 deficit.
Frenchman Kevin Gameiro scored twice to lead Sevilla past Shakhtar. Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana scored second-half goals as Liverpool pulled away from Villarreal.
