What They're Saying: Dan Hunt

“What was exciting for me was how U.S. Soccer not only latched onto this concept, but took it a step further. [We’re] talking about maybe doing a concert over the induction weekend, so having a concert, the induction ceremony, and a Hall of Fame game.”

At the end of the day, it's still in Frisco TX. A town of 6,000 in 1990 and 150k now. Not exactly the historical heart of soccer, but this is all about the money so I guess I'm not surprised.

This is a bad decision. How could US soccer have its Hall of Fame in the middle of nowhere. I was in Dallas for a conference during MLS cup 2005. I wanted to attend the game. I could not find public transportation to take me to Frisco. And because it was Sunday, I couldn't find a taxi either. My Hotel manager couldn't help me reach the site of the game. Eventually, I was able to get there somehow But it was a horrible experience. Never again.
